If there’s one thing Peace Obinani knows how to do, it’s making brands feel human and getting users to fall head-over-heels for them. Peace has a skill for storytelling and a deep understanding of consumer behaviour. With this, she has built a career helping businesses connect with their audiences in ways that truly matter.
Currently, Peace is the Head of Online Marketing at Piggytech, the parent company of Piggyvest, Pocket App, and Patronize. In this role, she leads data-driven and human-centric strategies to drive growth, customer engagement, and retention across multiple online channels.
Peace has over five years of experience in multiple industries, such as fashion, entertainment, e-commerce, FMCG, and tech. She has held different positions, including product marketing, social media management, customer success, branding, event management, and more.
Her career at Piggyvest began as a Customer Success Intern before she moved up to Social Media Team Lead, Product Marketing Manager, and now Head of Online Marketing. She works closely with the Product, Content, and Engineering teams to execute marketing strategies that align with new feature rollouts and product launches.
As someone who entered the tech space without a technical background, Peace saw the need for a support system for others like her. This led her to create Non-Tech in Tech, Africa’s largest community for non-technical professionals in tech.
Her goal is to help people transition into tech, find job opportunities, share knowledge, and build valuable networks. She also co-convenes the No-Code Tech Summit, Africa’s first annual event that brings together no-code tech talents and stakeholders.
Peace has an impressive background in event production. As the Founder & Creative Director of Produced by Lucid, she has worked on major events like GTBank Fashion Weekend, the Tony Elumelu Foundation Summit, and Union Bank Edu 360.
Her company curates unforgettable experiences, from product launches to conferences, company anniversaries, and concerts. Some of their standout productions include: Netcore Cloud’s 25th Anniversary, Open Source Community Africa Festival 2023, Piggyvest’s Anniversary & EOY Parties, She Code Africa Summit 2022 and Femme Fest 2024.
When she’s not leading marketing strategies, managing communities, or producing high-profile events, Peace loves exploring new cities and cultures.
Her journey proves that tech isn’t just for coders; there’s space for storytellers, strategists, and creators too.
