On March 9th, 2024, The Stack Journal organised a party event for women in Tech to celebrate International Women’s Day. Being a woman in Tech myself, I enjoyed every bit of the event. The party was a refreshing change from the usual events that focus on educating, enlightening, and networking with other women, as this was created for fun and networking.
Women in tech need more events like this where they can take a break from the demanding nature of their work to unwind, relax, connect with each other and recharge. This event helps create a sense of community, which is very important, especially in a field that can be isolating and competitive. Although it may seem less important than educational or strictly networking events, it is essential to set aside time for relaxation to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
